soo confused....

So I got my Physical therapy eval done this past week and the therapists states...well ya had some numbness on one side...and I'm like...yea...so she does her evaluation....she looks on the notes of my neurologist and tells me that He puts on chart that it might have been a TIA or a Migraine ,not sure....
She does notice weakness on one side...MRI was fine she states...told her about the echo and cardiac event monitor done...and then looks at my chart...no cardiac is put on there....I told her I do have some dizziness when I turn around quick and  tell her that was before the Tia or Migraine...I also told her that my Neurologists know this, I have told him about it...So I 'm supposed to have 9 more therapy sessions...…
So I have my Echo ( Bubble) results while in ER with my youngest...I don't understand what it is...Diastolic dysfunction...Stage 1.....So have course ya have to google these things to find out what they are....a form of heart failure...that older people get, not much is known about it......I'm thinking another disease that not much is known about it...So the next few days past by...and get the results of the cardiac event monitor...nothing was seen..but I did hear it go off a few times...the nurse just states no record of the automatic going off....( have not spoken to the my cardiologist)….get this result thru a message system that my providers have...so at end of letter it states if ya have any questions , feel free to call....so of course I do......according to the nurse I don't have any heart problems.....but I have diastolic dysfunction.....confusion!!!!!!!!...so now on a cardiac diet....I know I should have been on one before ...but I have to a point watch what I eat to a point....but all of this is so confusing.....Hospital states had a TIA( mini-stroke) neurologist states I didn't, echo shows I have diastolic dysfunction ( a heart problem) but cardiologist's nurse says I don't...so confusing...I just wonder if these doctor's realize how confusing they really are to patients....

Tia or complicated migraine

Where do I begin on this update, ( health)...So my cardiologist orders a echo and an event cardiac monitor....we have to eliminate everything thing else before   I can say for sure it's small vessel disease...she orders an echo and cardiac event monitor....So I wait for a couple of weeks( I think it was a couple of weeks) and I call them and then I get them both scheduled....
About two weeks and half ago I had a spell of weird sensation on left side of head, then numbness on left side( all of the left side)then chest pain...So I message hubby and ask him about it and he says to call my mom and so I did....Mom tells me to call my cardiologist...so I do.... and they tell me to smile, raise arms up and does one go down some , I say well yea....so they tell me to go to ER
I get to ER...Don't know what my blood pressure was, all I know is I whisked back to a hall room(an ER room in the hall)an EKG is done( after EKG is done , I see the tech give it to the doctor to show him) CT scan done...iv started , labs....Then doctor comes by and states that I think we need to have some observation....I'm like huh...then next I 'm moved to other room upstairs...
So moved upstairs...nitro patch, blood thinner, another lab, and more pricking of my finger....another doctor comes in....and states that I need a MRI, and echo. And a carotid scan. I tell him I have an echo scheduled on Monday....He says no this is a different.....so I lay there , wondering what was seen on the CT scan and what did the EKG show....Then, nurse comes in and tells me that soon I will be moving to another room...and that this room is only for 24 hours...I'm like huh....
So I get the MRI done and then moved to another room....in the stroke unit....I'm like did I have a stroke...TIA is mention but not for sure....another blood thinner shot, vitals, nitro patch, pricking of finger for sugar test....meds given...they upped my cholesterol med...
So waiting for the other two tests, feel weak of left side some....so next day....still waiting for the other two tests...another doctor comes in and mentions a TIA, an complicated migraine( in which I have never heard of )...my phone in room doesn't work, ( at this hospital  your meals are like room service, ya call up what ya want and they bring it)…..so next day( again)...another doctor comes in, Still saying TIA an umbrella term...he says...I'm like huh.....a nurse comes in and educate me on TIA and strokes....and here I am like Did I really have a TIA....the echo is done ( a bubble echo)...and finally the other test is done....PT is done( and is ordered for rehab)...the initial results look good on the two tests I have been waiting on...and nurse gives me my discharge instructions...One is to follow-up with primary and she will release me to drive...( my diagnosis is a TIA)
I go home, then the heart monitor is going....wait let me back up some....I got to get my echo done, the one that my cardiologist has ordered....and the tech comes out...and ummm ya already had one in the hospital....I' m like the hospital told my this was a stress echo....then now go to get the event monitor...
So I called to get my follow-up appointment with my primary...I already have an appointment with my neurologist ….and make for that day...( make it easy, one trip and two appointments, I live about hour and half away),....the monitor has start letting off a beeeeeeeeppppp. and im like what in the world....I guess its catching something odd in my heart rhythm....
So I go to my neurologist appointment and he says I had a complicated migraine , not a TIA.....I'm like what....my bp just happens to be high, my face does have some numbness while at appointment ( I don't tell him this)and he ups my aspirin to 325 mg daily...anyway...I then go on to the primary ...and my bp is down...and I hear the nurse tell my primary outside of the door my bp...primary comes in....and I ask well can I drive yet...and shes like Im not the one to ask about this ...do ya talk about this with your neuro doctor...and I'm like no.and she also states that we need to watch my sugar level , cause it has been running high...then she says...well I will send him a email...then I ask about if I need to be on blood thinner...again she asks if I talk to the neuro and I'm like no....
I leave her office and send a message to my neuro about whether or not I can drive...he messages me back Who gave ya the restrictions...Im like the ER did...then he messages me back no restrictions....
I felt like I was getting the runaround...with these doctors and I'm so confused...
Then I think ok....if I'm driving and I have an episode of Tia or complicated migraine and have an accident...??/?????
Then yesterday, ...I felt all jittery, then major headache...took my migraine med ,plus my nausea med, ...I was still nauseated after that...headache was still there, had numbness on left side again...high bp....so off to the ER....was diagnosed with a complicated migraine ...the migraine came out of nowhere...doctor stated that the MRI was ok....( I have not seen it and compared it to the others),....
it wasn't a stroke ...because if ya had numbness it would be on the right side and not the left.....and I'm like what......then he told me that he has come across a lot of complicated migraines even those that took away people's sight...So of course I googled it...according to the sites I went on stated that complicated migraines are rare...and not understood...
Instead of going back to neurologists...I just message him...about my visit to the ER...and about the ER doctor suggesting that I take something everyday to prevent these migraines,...and he has prescribed something...for me....
I have had a headache all day....( have not taken new med yet)...My opinion, I don't think the doctors really know what is going on.......  I think that since my calcium level is tiddering on the high level, and my sugar level has also....I think it has been doing this for so long that both have been messing with my health...these are only my opinion....
Well that's it for now

update...issues...

I thought I would give ya an update....on my health....
I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel in left hand  by doing the nerve conduction test....
I also have been diagnosed with arthritis in the right thumb joint...received a shot in that joint....tendonitis in both wrists...left worse then the right..given a brace to wear plus an inflammatory medicine....
took that med once and had an reaction......after 30 minutes after taken the med left side of head felt funny, ( weird , cant explain it) and was nauseated as well, so checked BP and of course it was up 169/99...….I had chest pain, tightness in chest....So off to the ER I went...They did labs, EKG,....I was exhausted, ( like I had been up forever)….
I was told labs were ok...but suggested I have a stress test...EKG showed possible an infarct( got the results 2 weeks later, fyi)...I did my ER follow-up...with primary doctor and I guess my calcium level was up...so off the multivitamin..recheck calcium lab at the first of the month...
So I got the ER -EKG results and I thought maybe we need to recheck to make sure I didn't have a heart attack.....messaged my primary about it...she messaged back that she ordered an EKG....but to find out that she didn't...so she messaged back to contact a cardiologist....do I need a referral ?....
So I contacted my cardiologist( I had seen one before)...she looked over my EKG and stated that if I wasn't having symptoms ..I should be fine...so life went on..( I didn't need to be seen)
Calcium labs were found to be high normal.....so life went on.....I did have a couple mornings I woke up with chest hurting, but I think it was indigestion.....so life BP was very high, still having chest pain.....so off to the ER I went...got there...X-ray was done, then EKG was done and finally got labs done...Then back in waiting room..( they wasn't very busy, at least they didn't seem that busy)
finally got taken back to room...then more labs were done...iv started, then wait....another lab was done....meds were given...one of the labs was the Troponin T lab in which in the second lab drawn was alittle elevated.....finally doctor came in when I was being discharged, and he did mention Small vessel disease of the heart...and sent sent me on my way..and the doctor had emailed the my cardiologist...and stated I should hear from her this weekend...and stated that its in my doctor's court on what she wants to do...
I didn't hear from her at all, had to call her the following Monday...….Of course, the next day ,I was exhausted and I googled the small vessel disease of the heart.....And things I found was somewhat how I felt...and leaves me to questions...I would like to know...Since I already have small vessel disease of the brain...is this the reason why I have this disease in my heart...( I will be asking my doctor this week, when I see her....of course I keep googling because I want find out how I can ( my own health advocate)…( in which   as long as I can I will be)...so then I find out something ….
and now I have questions....If I was a man would I have been kept overnight so they can run more tests on both ER visit?...If I was a man would my symptoms been taken  more seriously?...
Was it my insurance why I wasn't kept ,at least overnight?...
I think I wasn't kept due to me being a woman...( by the way I haven't seen the results of the last EKG).
Well that's it for now...God bless

Weird epsode

I thought would post an update of what's been going on...Last week something happened I really don't know what it was...but let me tell ya it was scary...
Let me tell ya what happen...Well...I felt small like nerve impulses on the left side , and only one the left side...while eating the second piece of Toast...then tremors, or shakes whatever ya want call them..only on the left side only....for about 30-40 minutes then my head started shaking...I called my oldest who happen to be home and tell her she need to call someone, I don't know who...but someone...she called my mom and then hubby and then nurse-on-call and of course they told her to call 911...( 911 isn't in our area)...needless say an ambulance was called and a got a ride to the hospitalvia ambulance...of course the shakes, trmors or whatever stopped on the way...got to the ER and was transferred to a wheelchair, vitals were done, labs, and then called back and put in a room...a CT scan was ordered and didn't show anything at all...I felt completely drained...was given some medicines...and felt somewhat better but still weak...very weak...
and now still weak.
I did a ER follow-up with primary...She mention about some medicines not being depleted in body ( varies for everyone) only in passing, mention Seizures ( Gran Mal as well), a neuro problem, What I had was probably not going to kill me....( she really don't know what it was , so how does she know),
stated it probably wasn't not a migraine, ...no new medicines ( Thank Goodness), and referred me to a neurologist ( in which I already have one, does she not realize that, grrrrrr)….She didn't know what He will do, just that he might do another scan , a nerve test , she didn't know...I asked what to do if it happens again ( in which I'm sure it will),to call the nurse on call and have someone video tape it, so the doctor's will see what it is like...They usually don't make a diagnosis of seizure until A person has had two or more....

So this morning I go ahead and call my Neurologist to make an appointment and they tell me I have an upcoming appointment in a couple of months...I stated that my primary just referred me to one, so I decided to make an appointment....So I got on next week...will try post an update then, if I get any answers...on what happened.
